Sangeeta Mohanty is an architect, entrepreneur, and social advocate who has redefined what leadership looks like in Odisha’s real estate and construction sector. A graduate in Architecture with distinction from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore, she also holds an LLB specializing in Corporate Law and is currently pursuing an MBA in Project Management. At just 24 years old, she took on the role of Director, introducing advanced construction technologies and transforming a single-project, family-run business into a professionally managed, multi-project company. Her contributions have earned her national recognition, including being named among the “100 Impactful Women in India in Real Estate” and receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award for Construction and Design. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sangeeta is equally devoted to social causes — serving as an Honorary Animal Welfare Officer, supporting WWF, and personally feeding over 200 stray dogs daily throughout the pandemic — making her a rare blend of business acumen and compassionate leadership.
Early Life & Education
Sangeeta Mohanty completed her schooling in 2005 from Kendriya Vidyalaya. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with distinction from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore (Registration No. CA/2013/60524). She later completed her LLB with a specialization in Corporate Law and is currently pursuing an MBA in Project Management from Pune. She is also a Fellow Member of the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA).
Career Ahead of Its Time
At the young age of 24, Sangeeta joined the company as Director, taking on responsibility for identifying new growth opportunities across Odisha, where the company has since launched several major projects.
One of her first initiatives was to modernize construction practices — introducing new materials and advanced technologies to improve efficiency. Under her leadership, ACPL adopted the latest construction technologies, ensuring faster project completion and reducing dependence on manual labor.
Sangeeta also reshaped the company’s business strategy, moving from a single-project model to a multi-project approach in a remarkably short span of time — successfully transforming a family-run business into a professionally managed company.
